Jan’s research focuses on understanding the behaviour of ions at the air/water interface through a combination of classical density functional theory and spectroscopic experiments, carried out in collaboration with the Verlet group. Jan grew up in the Czech Republic and studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge before moving to Durham. In his free time, he enjoys reading fantasy.
